Sheraton Macuto Resort is located on a sandy beach, near the port town of La Guaira, with the sweep of the Caribbean Sea on one side and the impressive backdrop of the Avila Mountains on the other. The resort is only a short drive along the Caribbean coast, east of Venezuela's principal airport, Simon Bolivar International, a major gateway to South America. Calypso Club Discotheque is the most exciting dance club in the area, with throbbing disco rhythms late into the night. Of course, room service is available around the clock.
Recreational facilities include two swimming pools, two floodlit tennis courts, a health club, bowling alley, volleyball, game room with billiards, and a jogging track. A daily activities schedule comprises games, cooking and cocktail lessons. Nearby is a nine-hole golf course, great deep-sea fishing and snorkeling. Trips to the neighboring islands and tours to the jungle, the mountains, and the coastline of Venezuela can be arranged.
