Your Only Ticket To Great Russian Theatres

There was a time not so long ago when touring the great Russian theatres was more like playing Russian roulette: tourists rarely knew what they were seeing until the day of the performance, and it was not uncommon to wind up with tickets to the Circus instead of the Kirov Mariinsky Theatre or the Bolshoi Theatre. The only way to know where your seats would be was to go to the theatre and sit in them, and the great theatrical experience you imagined might fall far short of your expectations. There was simply no way of knowing what you were getting.

All of that changed in 1992, after Terrence Jablonski got together with directors from the Kirov in St. Petersburg and Moscow's Bolshoi. With the help of FINNAIR and UNESCO, they established Allegro as the only authorized agent in North America for tickets to operas, ballets, and concerts at the Kirov and Bolshoi, as well as the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and the Finnish National Opera. Now, for the first time, travelers visiting Russia's premiere theatres can see the performance of their choice, and the seats are guaranteed to be excellent. Allegro always issues the finest center orchestra seats in the first half of the house and provides schedule information in advance.

Mindful that the theatres are only a small part of Moscow and St. Petersburg, Allegro also offers special cultural tours of these majestic cities. Optional with these tours is an extension to Helsinki, a cruise to Stockholm, or an excursion to Tallinn. We invite you to browse our options below, which are available throughout the year. Simply call, write, or email Allegro for more information.

Theater Tickets

Authorized U.S. Agent For:
Kirov Mariinsky Theater, St. Petersburg
Bolshoi Theater of Russia, Moscow
St. Petersburg Philharmonic, St. Petersburg
Finnish National Opera, Helsinki

Guaranteed center orchestra seats at the Bolshoi and Kirov for all performances will be $70.00; at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic $40.00; at the Finnish National Opera $65.00. There is also a $5.00 per person, per city handling fee (in other words, if you are attending three performances in a city, you would only pay the handling fee once). Please call, write, or email us with your dates of travel in each city. We will provide you with the schedule and secure your best seats for you.

Please note: Allegro has an exclusive arrangement with these theaters for the sale of tickets to tourists. The majority of the profits go to the theaters themselves and assists the theaters with their struggle to adapt to the market economy. Allegro is not an information service.
