  • 1st Staniel Cay New Year's Day Cruising Regatta

  • 7th Annual Farmer's Cay (5F) Festival
    A rendezvous for yachtsmen cruising The Exuma Islands and a home-coming for the people of Farmer's Cay, Exuma. Activities include land and sea races, Hermit Crab races and chicken run, a treasure hunt, wet T-shirt competition, disco dancing and exciting team and children events - food & beverage will be on sale. Boat excursions depart Nassau for the festival at 8:00 p.m. from Potter's Cay (M/V Etienne & Cephas mail boat), on Thursday, February 6, and return to Nassau at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, from Farmer's Cay Dock.   • 7th-15th Seventeenth Annual George Town Cruising Regatta
    A popular sailing regatta, attracting over 500 visiting yachts annually for a week of fun and festivities. Visiting yachtsmen test the speed of their vessels in the beautiful waters of George Town, Exuma - in three main boating events. Sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, All Exuma Regatta Association, and the Ministry of Youth & Sports. For further information, contact the Exuma Tourist Office at Tel.   • 22nd-26th Forty Fourth Annual Family Island Regatta
    Scores of locally-built sloops, representing each of the major islands of The Bahamas, converge on picturesque Elizabeth Harbour, George Town, in four days of fierce racing for the coveted Best In The Bahamas title. In conjunction with the races, exciting onshore activities, in a carnival-like atmosphere, include a beauty pageant, fashion shows, volleyball and weightlifting contests, parties and an ongoing festival of native food and crafts. Visitors to our islands are especially invited to join in the fun and conviviality surrounding the favourite Bahamian pastime of regatta sailing. Special mailboat and plane excursions depart Nassau for Exuma a day prior to the Regatta.

  • TBAAnnual Staniel Cay Bonefish Tournament
    An angler's challenge against the wily bonefish. This four-day tournament takes place amidst five days of onshore activities, including all-day native food feasts, sporting activities, music and dancing.   • 28th-Aug. 3rd First Annual World Invitational Bonefishing Championship

    A Ministry of Tourism-sponsored event, where international bonefishermen, along with the winner of The Islands Of The Bahamas National Bonefish Championship, compete for the World Invitational Bonefishing Championship. To include evening cocktail parties, and a gala dinner where prizes will be awarded winners. For further information, contact the Ministry of Tourism in Nassau at Tel.
